BETH
SHAHAR

ISRAELI BASED

CONTEMPORARY ARTIST.

Beth Shahar is an accomplished contemporary artist who was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. At the age of 18, Beth relocated to Tel Aviv, Israel where she still resides today.

She has spent many years studying art and developing her skills working with techniques such as acrylic on canvas, mixed media, as well as photography.
When asked why art became such an important part of her life, Beth shared that art was her way of sharing stories of hope and positivity, and bringing light and joy into the homes and exhibits where her paintings are displayed.

Beth draws inspiration from the world around her and consistently seeks out surroundings that light up her creativity. Her work is inspired by the places she visits, the people she meets, the way natural light affects landscapes, as well as the words she hears in poetry and music.

One of her favorite pastimes includes strolling the city streets taking photographs, and then incorporating the subjects of her snapshots into her paintings. Her secret is using the energy she feels while taking photographs and allowing it to shine through her works of art.

Beth is certified in rehabilitative art, and has worked with individuals who have experienced significant trauma that had led to physical and emotional disabilities. Through this work she has learned firsthand how art is an effective tool for recovery, acting as a catalyst for healing. One of her greatest joys is watching individuals move through their pain and bringing beauty and joy back into their lives.

Her art resides in the homes of collectors throughout the United States and Israel, and is exhibited in local art galleries in the Tel Aviv area.

“My paintings are a connection of my soul's energy expressed through physical energy."
